South Korean pianist Ji Soo Seo has been praised for her superbly poetic and powerful playing throughout the United States, Europe and Korea. Her numerous competition honors include a prize at the Seattle International Piano Competition and placing as one of six semi-finalists in the 2009 Virginia Waring Piano Competition. She has performed at the Weil Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and taken top prize in the International Piano Academy Competition in Scotland. Her concert this evening will feature works from an array of composers including Haydn, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Szymanowski and Kapustin.
Dr. Seo earned her Master of Music and Doctoral Degrees from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York under the tutelage of Professor Barry Snyder.
