Join film historian Jason Bruecks for a pair of special screenings as we look back on the life and career of legendary actress and singer Doris Day. After starting out as a big band singer, Day’s first film, Romance on the High Seas, launched a twenty-year motion picture acting career that saw her ultimately become one of the biggest film stars of the 1960s. Although she continued to find success in music and television, and became known for her incredible work in promoting animal welfare throughout her life, Day’s final feature film role was in the 1968 romantic comedy With Six You Get Eggroll. Romantic misunderstandings abound when spouses suspect each other of being unfaithful, and a nightclub singer takes a cruise under a false identity.
